The Story Behind This Piece

Capturing the image of three elephants drinking at a watering hole in Kruger National Park, South Africa, which I named 'Nourishment,' marked the beginning of a two-year journey of reconnection with my sister. Prompted by her, we embarked on this retreat after I completed a demanding assignment in Ibiza, Spain. Living together in Cape Town for the first time since our parents' divorce, we found refuge in each other's company. Elephants, my spirit animals, symbolize wisdom, strength, and ancestral connections in African lore. Through this tale, I hope to inspire readers to seek emotional and spiritual nourishment from their loved ones, embracing the power of familial bonds.
